Cannot uninstall programs after upgrading to XP Pro

I am trying to make room on my hard drive for SP2 and
several programs will not uninstall, such as Home
Publishing/Works Suite 2000 (I don't know why DELL
installed in the first place) Office Pro 97/Powerpoint and
Winfax 8.0. Even when I use the original setup disks I get
error messages. Does anyone know how to manually uninstall
these programs?
