While in theory beta is fairly riddled with problems, having beta does NOT
mean no updates - in fact, most beta processes are one update and patch after
another, since beta is to try and *find and fix* problems.
So, I respectfully disagree with your response. Not having an update is one
thing, saying that it's because it's beta seems a bit off the mark.
Having done beta for hardware and software for nearly 15 years, I can
appreciate the efforts, and certainly understand the alpha/beta cycles.
I think it would have been more clear to say that there are no updates
planned at this time, rather than say because it's beta there are no updates.
I know, nitpicking ... grin
I fully agree that you should NEVER run beta on production systems - that's
purely foolish.
