cannot veiw and install hardware updates

Can some one help please, When i go to Windows or Microsoft update and scan
using custom scan, i cannot click on hardware or software updates without the
same scan windows as you get when you arrive opening inside the window that i
click on to view updates. under the custom scan it will still allow me high
priority updates . and the express scan works fine. My XP instillation CD key
is genuine

Hi there,
It should not be a problem beacause you should never take any driver update
from windows update unless you like problems with your good woring
hardware

Just takde drivers from the manufacturers website if really needed: that is
if it is working fine leave it be working fine.

You can roll back from microsoft update to windows update if you like by
doing the folowing:

To stop using the Microsoft Update Web site and start using the Windows
Update Web site, follow these steps:

On the microsoft Update site, click change setting, scroll down the page ,
click select the Disable Microsoft Update software and let me use Windows
Update only check box and aplly the changes.
