When I try to veiw a fax I now receive the following error message:

"The fax document cannot be displayed because your operating system does not
have a default viewer for fax documnents (.tif files)."

The fax document will print, but I can't view the document online.

Open Control Panel, then open Folder Options
Click the File Type tab
Scroll down to TIF and click on it to highlight it
Click the Advanced tab, bottom right
Under Actions, click on 'open' then click the Edit button
Under ' Application used to perform action'
this is what should be listed:

rundll32.exe D:\WINDOWS\system32\shimgvw.dll,ImageView_Fullscre en %1
The Use DDE box should be checked
The Application: is shimgvw
Topic: System

TIFF should also have the same settings.

When I click on the Advanced tab, there is no Open under actions. I need
more help to get this corrected. I don't see any edit button or tab either.
I'm using XP Pro.

That should have read Advanced button, but at least I gave the right
location
Download the *Restore* Picture and Fax Viewer registry file from the
link at number 80, here:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

This is the direct link:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs...faxrestore.reg

Depending on the browser being used you may have to right click the link
and choose Save as otherwise you may just end of viewing the reg file.

When the download completes *Right* click
pictureandfaxrestore.reg
and choose Merge
Approve the prompt
You should receive notification that the information was merged into the
registry and one should be able to view from the Fax Console now.
