Cannot view installed (KB920214):

Hello Friends,

I am working with MS Windows XP, Pro.
Last night I have installed the Security update (KB 920214)
I went to verify in the "Add/Remove" Program List,
and it is not listed as an installed Patch.

After the Install there was an Installation confirmation,
"Congratulation your Computer is now updated"

Is (KB 920214) A hidden Update?

First look in the associated TechNet Security Bulletin for the module(s)
involved and a possible verification procedure

Your headers indicate that you have it:

You could also use OE's Help,About (Alt-H,A)
to check the version of inetcomm.dll


Either procedure seems simpler than the verification steps
that the TechNet article is describing (which seems to be just
boilerplate rather than anything specific about this particular update.)


Another way to check using the update name itself would be
to switch to a cmd window and enter:

systeminfo

and then rightclick Find (Up) 920214

Thank You very very much for your Help,
and for the (Microsoft.com/technet.......) Link,
It is a very informative Site regarding Windows Updates & Support.
I have bookmarked the Site for future help & info.

I have found (KB920214) in my System by searching,
Originally it was installed Aug./17/2006,
now there are a total of 4 different Files labeled with (KB920214)

My understanding is that the Oct./08/06 install is an addition
to the other 3 Files, and it won't show on
the Add/Remove Programs List for the October's
Security Updates. It can be seen by search only.
