CanoScan LiDE 30, Vista & Acrobat doesn't see scanner

Hi,
When I try and create a PDF through Acrobat via my scanner, Acrobat does
not see it. It gives me the select scanner dialog, but the drop down
does not list my scanner. Oddly, this was working fine on my laptop
when I had Home Premium installed. Now i have business and it does not
work. P.S. the scanner works on the laptop with other programs.
any ideas?
