Canot post to newsgroups Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

I have a problem posting from Windows Mail to newsgroups. I can post from a
xp machine on the same network using Outlook Express so one would thing it
has nothing to do with the firewall.
I seem to have problems posting to some servers all the time and other
servers some of the time. msnews.microsoft.com works some of the time and
other times it does not.

I connected my vista workstation directly to the ADSL router and was able to
post. This would make you think I had a firewall or network problem but as I
said above I can post from XP machines running Outlook Express

You say you have a problem posting to newsgroups but you don't say what that
problem is!

What happens when you try to post?
Please give the exact text of any error messages.

Could be an issue with Windows Mail itself. In our tutorial section is
