Can't access emails in Hotmail (Windows Live Mail)

I can sign in fine, but once in I see the message "Windows Live Mail wasn't
able to complete this request. Microsoft may contact you about any issues you
report." at the top of the page and I can't access any emails. This has been
the case for almost over 24 hours. I have checked the network status and
Hotmail doesn't seem to be experiencing any outages. I am getting
increasingly frustrated as I can see (in Classic view) that I have hundreds
of new emails waiting for me. Does anyone know what's going on? I read
somewhere that this problem might have been caused when I deleted my cookies,
but I'm not even sure if that's the real reason. My other newer Windows Live
Mail account seems to be fine.

This could possibly be because M6 was released to managed beta testers the
other day and the servers are adjusting.

Argh...STILL can't access my emails. The only way for me to access em is
through Outlook Express on my home computer, but obviously I need remote
access too. Nobody else (I know) seems to be having this problem too, which
makes me wonder if the issue's on my end or on Hotmail's. Then again, I can't
access my emails regardless of what computer I use, so I don't think it's a
problem on my end....

I emailed submitted a problem ticket of sorts to Hotmail and of course
received the usual generic "make sure your internet connection is working,
etc" suggested resolutions.

Anyone?
