After boot up this morning, I was briefly connected long enough for my email
to download. When I opened my Browser, I had lost my connection. Trouble
shooting found the following.......

NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller #2

This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers
required for this device. (Code 31)

Description:
Windows was able to successfully install device driver software, but the
driver software encountered a problem when it tried to run. The problem code
is 31.

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: PnPDeviceProblemCode
Architecture: x86
Hardware Id: PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0269&SUBSYS_2A34103C&REV_A3
Setup class GUID: {4d36e972-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}
PnP problem code: 0000001F
Driver name: nvmfdx32.sys
Driver version: 1.0.1.6574
Driver date: 05-04-2007
OS Version: 6.0.6000.2.0.0.768.3
Locale ID: 1033

Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration
information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

Description:
Windows was able to successfully install device driver software, but the
driver software encountered a problem when it tried to run. The problem code
is 19.

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: PnPDeviceProblemCode
Architecture: x86
Hardware Id: *TUNMP
Setup class GUID: {4d36e972-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}
PnP problem code: 00000013
Driver name: unknown
Driver version: unknown
Driver date: unknown
OS Version: 6.0.6000.2.0.0.768.3
Locale ID: 1033

I reinstalled the driver for the nVidia card but it did not help. Have not
been able to find a similar problem on the net.

Jetroburt,

Did you uninstall the current drivers before reinstalling the drivers
or did you simply update the drivers? When you "reinstalled" the drivers did
you let Windows do it or did you go to nVidia's website and download them?

Have you tried "rolling back" the drivers to the previous versions
instead of updating them or reinstalling them? In any event, you should
always remove the old drivers or remnants of the current drivers before you
attempt to install or reinstall a driver. If you have corrupted current
drivers or corrupted older drivers on your system it will create problems.

Have a nice day.

C.B.

Another person here had your prob with the Nvidia controller. They did a
System Restore, and solved it to get the Net back.

Follow the CB's advice re installing Drivers.

Can you do a system restore to a time before the catastrophe? I'm gathering
either an auto update driver download took place or your card's gone bad.
You did nothing initially? Everything was working fine?

Do the restore and see if things are back to normal.
