If infected with "Coolwebsearch" hijacker:

See webpage Dealing with Coolwebsearch and affiliates
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm#Coolwebsearch

Refine settings in Internet Explorer browser. Add the following

http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com

http://update.microsoft.com

http://download.windowsupdate.com

to the trusted sites list in the Internet Options.

To access the Exceptions settings.

1. Open Internet Explorer browser

2. Click Tools / Internet Options

3. Click the Security Tab

4. Click on the Trusted Sites Icon

5. Click on the Sites button

6. Unselect the check box "Require server verification (httpsfor all sites in this zone"

7. Add all sites listed above

8. Apply changes.

Note: MS Article 836961 has an outdated reference to V4 of Windows Update. Skip those entries with V4. Majority of users ought to be on v6, if not on V5.

Fernando: Can you tell us a little bit about your website? I've only seen a small part.

Of course, :-)

The website is integrily dedicated to the Window OS and Office, and
include articles, workarounds about windows update, FAQs about office
and Windows, a Regedit Guide, scripts and batch file that automate
common task in this OS, forum...
The website is supported by my own resources and by the collaboration of
many people who disinterestedly submit contents daily (among them
spanish MVPs), all the colaborators write your articles in spanish
becouse they are Spanish but we are translating all the contents into
english. actually are translated the whole Windows Update and FAQs
section and also the website interface....

Finally the site is completely open to all registered members and anyone
can post content to the site with the html editor that is integrated in
the site and the authors can review your content every time they want.
The submitted content is reviewed by myself before it is published
