Can't Access my live email or messenger

We have two hotmail addresses. One is a paid account and messenger has been
8.1 for quiet sometime, the other is a free account and hasn't been switched
to live email yet,tho have a live ID. Trying to sign into the paid or
Hotmail Plus or the corresponding live messenger has only gotten me an error
code that my email or password is wrong. Also telling me that I tried too
many times. Tried to reset passcode and use the alternate hotmail to receive
the instructions. My passcode on that account was saved, got in and checked
many times....NEVer an email from microsoft as promised. This is very
upsetting as it is used by some of my real estate clients/friends/Board
contacts. Please help! Why did I have to pay for an email that everyone seems
to be getting free? Messenger is important to me as well, but not as vital as
my email, which does not go thru outlook or outlook express.
