Might be possible interference with a 3rd party browser add-on. Open
Internet Options in the Control Panel.
Click the Programs tab
Click the Manage Add-ons button
The "Show:" line should read " Add-ons that have been used by Internet
Explorer "
If the BitComet add-on is listed, click on it, then put a mark next to
Disable
Click OK
Now try Windows Update
IF BitComet is not the culprit, go over the entire list and disable ALL
3rd party browser add-ons.
Revisit Windows Update
If the issue is resolved then you'll have to reenable the add-ons one by
one to determine which one is causing the issue
