It seems since last update I can't get to www.advancedaquarist.com
My browser hangs up and I have to quit internet explorer. I have tried
disabling popup blockers, addons, the windows firewall, etc. Nothing works.
Should I uninstall service pack 2??? I can not see separate entries for the
various updates in my add/remove programs.
Thanks.

Seems like a simple page... A little javascript - but that is about it. I
doubt it was REALLY the update that did it - particularly SP2. It may have
happened when you installed SP2 - but I would bet it has something to do
with other issues - as it works for me on multiple machines - all with SP2
(except the Vista machine.)

Tried using a different web browser? Firefox?

When was the last time you scanned your system for adware/spyware? And with
which of the good applications (should be a couple at least) did you scan
with?

I have scanned and found nothing. Webroot spy sweeper. However, my adware
program caused the browser to crash all the time so I don't use it anymore. I
did install internet explorer 7.0 recently, do you think that's the issue?

Additionally, the date when the problem began is same day that I installed
the last round of updates. I would like to uninstall them to see if it would
help but they don't appear in add/delete programs. Should I take out service
pack two?

Kahless,

I have looked at the html code on that page, there is nothing there to cause
what you are experiencing.

Try this:
1. Download the HijackThis program directly to your C: drive.
http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/
2. Execute Highack this and save the log file to your desktop..
3. Visit http://www.hijackthis.de/ and Browse to submit your logfile (from
the desktop). Click
Analyze
4. Wait a few moments-a report will be returned to your web Browser.
5. Watch what you "fix" as some files reported to be "Nasty" may simply be
files that are unknown to the HiJack This folks.

Well I finally called microsoft tech support and after trying everything
else, they had me uninstall 7.0 and revert back to 6, and now I can again
access the website. They wanted me to reinstall 7.0 but I didn't like it so I
refused. I didn't want to spend any more time seeing if it would screw up
again. Thanks everyone who made suggestions.
