Can't Access Windows Update Website

I cannot access the Windows Update Website. I click start, all programs and
then Windows update and I get this message -

Thank you for your interest in obtaining updates from our site.

This website is designed to work with Microsoft Windows operating systems
only.
To find updates for Microsoft products that are designed for Macintosh
operating systems, please visit http://www.microsoft.com/mac/.


I have Windows Media Edition. I do know that when I ran AVG 7.5 that it said
this file had been changed -C:\windows\system32\shell32.dll

Did this possibly change what my OS is recognized as? If so how do I fix it?
