Can't adjust 'wheel tab' or '3rd button'

Just upgraded to Vista today, I usually use my middle button on my laptop to
scroll up/down pages, when I try to use it to scroll up now, nothing happens
and if I use it to scroll down, it opens up a seperate application that will
move the page in whatever direction I move the pointer. I would really
rather just scroll up/down instead. When I open the Mouse Properties, there
is nowhere to adjust this setting. What can I do?? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Check with the laptop manufacturer for an updated driver for the pointing
device. Vista is likely using only a base driver that provides for
left/right functionality. For additional capabilities you need a full driver
set that supports the wheel or third buttons.
