Can't attach to Outlook Express

I had to change my CPU, mother board, etc. I salvaged my C: drive and,
though I had to do a reinstall/repair of Windows XP, then download the
updates, it seems to be running fine, now.

My problem is that since the above work I can neither attach a Photoshop
image nor a Word 2002 document to email from within the programs.

Photoshop gives me the error:
It is necessary to log on or establish an e-mail account within your
mail program before you can attach to e-mail.
Microsoft Word 2002 gives me the error:
Logon failed. You must log on to Microsoft Exchange to access your
address book. Error code: "Unspecified error".

The microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general newsgroup thinks that from my
headers (Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2900.2869) I've got Security Update
for Windows XP (KB911567) installed and should be able to uninstall it.
I've seen this listed as a problem in other documents, as well.

It isn't listed in my Add/Remove programs, even with the "Show Updates"
option checked. Doing a "Search" shows it is on my system but I can't
uninstall it.

How can I uninstall this update?

Your help is appreciated.

Mike
