I have been having the same problems and found that there are others with
similar problems with not enough KB articles available just yet. I'm sure
that will change once an official fix is determined, but you and I will have
to wait for a workaround before getting SP2 installed.
I'll paste my last post for you to try during your free computer time :-)
"An option I am now considering is installing the updates one by one, but I
am very concerned about what will happen when I reach the one update that is
likely causing this problem.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324720/ (List of fixes in Windows XP Service
Pack 1 and Windows XP Service Pack 1a)
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811113/ (List of fixes included in Windows
XP Service Pack 2)"
Another peer going by "gw" will recommend you make sure your PC has the
latest BIOS update from your manufacturer.
Here is another snippet from my post where I am also anxiously awaiting a
reply for help:
"System rebooted continuously even when I tried the various Safe Mode and
LKGC options. I then turned off reboot option in the Windows Advanced Options
boot menu and got the BSOD STOP error message. I ran through the various KB
articles..." Check your STOP error number in the support KB articles and see
if any help. It looks like Patti already gave you the only two KB articles
relating to the reboot problem, but maybe your error code will help.
Good luck!
