Hi - I wanted to uninstall SP2 from my computer and was removing one "SP2
Hotfix" after another, but now after a 5th "Hotfix" or so (and equal number
of automatic rebooting), XP is not starting up anymore.
Would very much appreciate if someone could help me with this? Thanks a lot!

Were the hotfixes labelled "SP2"?
If so, they are not SP-2, they are marked SP2 because they were planned to
be incorporated in SP-2.
If they are on your computer, it is doubtful SP-2 was installed since those
entries go away once SP-2 is installed.

Reboot tapping F8 each second.
Select "Last Known Good Configuration" at the menu.
If that fails reboot again this time choose "Safe Mode" at the menu.
Then System Restore to Date Time before issue started:
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore

Thanks. SP-2 *is* actually installed on my computer, but it seems that it is
only partially installed (the very first installation procedure had failed
somehow, but there are features of SP-2 available on my PC, ie automatic
updates etc.). This is the reason why I wanted to uninstall it to reinstall
back again... I've been using the safe mode to uninstall all "Hotfix"es, but
will try System Restore as you suggested (Last Known... was not possible).
Also, I wasn't able to get into Safe Mode with Networking, is something wrong
with programs which require network connection then...?

Thanks! It's ok now. I will look into the knowledge base and write down what
I'm doing the next time I try uninstalling SP-2 ... or whatever I've got on
my computer.

Automatic Updates is not a feature of SP-2.
What feature unique to SP-2 do you have?

Right click My Computer
Click Properties
What is listed on the last line under "System"?
That is the installed Service Pack.

Follow the Service Pack Installation Checklist to install SP-2:
