Greetings,
Actually Messenger will use Internet Explorer exclusively for this, regardless of what your
default browser is. I also doubt it's the antivirus unless it installed something to block
"popups" in which depending on how it works, might be blocking this since it tries to start a
new Internet Explorer window.
As a possible fix, you might try installing IE7 as any possible Internet Explorer problem
would probably be solved and have the effect of fixing this:
