What add-ons do you have installed? Click "Tools"->"Manage
Add-ons"->"Enable or Disable Add-ons" and then disable any addon you
dont need.

Alternatively, click the Start button, type "Explorer" into the search
box, then click on "Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)" to force IE7 to
start with no add-ons, to se if that is the cause.

If you still experience the problems, try running a full Windows
Update.

The original post is a little confusing. It refers to "windows explorer
(7)."
So is the OP actually referring to Windows Explorer? Or is he referring to
Internet Explorer 7?
Dzomlija, you assumed he meant IE7. I think you may be right, but no telling
for sure.

Well, instead of showing as Internet Explorer, it now shows as Windows
Internet Explorer.
Nice move MS, simple is as simple does.

Also, in IE, click Tools > Internet Options > Advanced (tab) under 'Reset
Internet Explorer settings' > click Reset.
