Can't complete install Vista ! Help !

My latop is Hp.
when i install vista, the screen is *Completing istallation* but i
can't finished. I wait 8 hours but can't finish

What are you doing with it: new Install, Reinstalling, Upgrading, doing the
Service Pack?

Vista is a highly complicated and seriously bloated operating system. It's
obvious there is something wrong with either your PC or the installation
disk. May I suggest you take it to a Microsoft professional and get them to
install it for you.

does the laptop bring up a status box in the middle of the screen that seems
to get stuck on say 6 out of 8 for arguments same?
