Can't connect to internet

Ever since I did an update for .NET I have been unable to connect to the
internet. I have had a dial up service for one year, and now my modem will
not "talk" with the ISP server. I did a diagnostic and it says my modem is
working. I tried other internet connections through the internet wizard and
my computer will NOT connect to any connections. Has anyone else experienced
this?

Why don't you try uninstalling the .net update?
