Can't connect XBOX 360 to Vista PC

Hey,

Just go myself a Vista Home premium and the disappointment was enormous when
I noticed that my new PC just keeps crashing anytime I try to configure
XBOX360 as media center extender.

Everything goes just fine until the PC starts to run the connection
checklist. After it reaches the second last checkbox, the whole PC hangs
every time

Anyone else faced the same problem?

How long have you left it hanging for?

Do you have good specs?
I found that, on my old PC, Vista took up a lot of memory when connecting and sending info to and from the 360 in Media
Centre.

Waited so long that XBOX notifies an error connecting to PC. PC just stays
frozen. My old XP reacted atleast to CTRL+ALT+DEL.

Just bought the whole PC.
x64 AMD 4800+ dual core + 2Gigs of RAM.

Atleast everything else works fluently.
