Can't delet folders from CDRW

I have a new computer with Vista Home Premium. I have been redoing some CDRWs
as the computer can do longer read them (so much for creating them so "other
computers can read them". When deleting some folders, the contents delete but
I cannot delet the folder itself. It tells me it is deleting but it remains.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there any solution, besides reformatting
the disk again (which works)!
