Can't delete or add any items to start menu. When I installed Vista I
was able to do it but then I must have locked the start menu somehow.
When I click with the right button on the item I want to delete no popup
menu is shown. Drag and drop methot doesn't work either. Any idea what
could help? Thanks

Right click on Start/Properties/Customize scroll down and put a check mark
in Enable context menus and dragging and dropping.
Hit Ok and then Apply.

You have two option to do that...find yourself as comfort for you !!!

1-Way )
GOTO TASKBAR AND START MENU PROPERTIES AND JUMP TO *START MENU *TAB
HERE SELECT YOUR START MENU TYPE AND CLICK ON *CUSTOMIZE*
IN THE BEHAVIOR LIST OF START MENU, LOOK FOR *ENABLE CONTEXT MENUS AND
DRAGGING AND DROPPING*
CHECK THIS AND APPLY TO COMMIT CHNAGES

2-WAY)
OPEN REGISTRY EDITOR (TYPE *REGEDIT *IN RUN DIALOG BOX N HIT ENTER)
NAVIGATE TO:
*HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURR ENTVERSION\POLICIES\EXPLORER
look for a DWORD value titled NoChangeStartMenu* and change its
value to *0* to remove the restriction.
