Can't delete inbox mail message "an unknown error has occured"

I got this same error message today while trying to delete a message from my
inbox.It was just one message, all other I deleted went to trash fine.I am
running Windows Vista Premium and had mail account setup for months without
any problems. I just dragged the message to my Junk E-mail folder and the
emptied the folder. Sounds too easy but it worked for me.Hope this was
helpful.
