Try the following web page. It really is very simple: you delete the
offending file, restart Windows Mail and it will restore a pristine copy.
Try it, it worked for me and for others. The address is:

http://www.microsoft.com/communities...=en-us&m=1&p=1

THANK YOU Jan. I raise a toast to you!!

You don't know how many countless hours I spent trying to get rid of
messages from my Outbox and then my Inbox. Your link provided me with the
directions to fix this problem within a minute. Thank you ever so much. No
offence to anyone else by the way. Jans post helped fix my problem.

I contacted Microsoft and Hewlett-packard on this problem and got no help at
all. In fact they just past the buck to someone else even though my Laptop is
new.

That's because the only way to fix it is to delete the database and its
backup.

Uh, are you planning to install Mac OS on your Dell laptop?

Why throw the baby out with the bath water.
If you don't like Windows Mail, try an alternate email
program: Outlook, Windows Live Mail Desktop,
Mozilla Thunderbird, etc.

It won't uninstall. Its part of the OS.

Why did you buy a Dell when you wanted a Mac?
