Can't delete a System Folder

I am working on a client's HP laptop running Vista Home Premium cleaning out
all the items he wants removed. One of the items was Nero 7.0.xxx which
wasn't 100% compatible with Vista. I finally got everything of Nero removed
except a folder named "Nero Scout" which is displayed in "Computer" under
the drives.

I ran every commandline I could find online, to remove "Nero Scout" all of
which failed because the item "MediaLibraryNSE.dll" couldn't be found. I
also ran the latest Nero Cleaning Tool. I've run CCleaner and RegSupreme
Pro. And finally I did a search in Regedit for "Nero" and "Ahead" (directly
related to Nero) and deleted all items. What that accomplished was to remove
the folder "name", but the folder remains. Right-clicking on the folder and
choosing "Properties" gets an error: "The properties for this item are not
available". The "Type" shows it as "System Folder".

I did a Registry search for both of the strings showing in the Info Pane and
the second one: "3D6BE802-FCOD-4594-A304-E611F97089DC}" looked promising,
but I am reluctance to delete it. hehe Here is where it is located:
"HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1875865841-1623057015-2609914292-1000\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurentVersion\Shel l
Extensions\Cached"

Bottom line.... how do I remove that folder?

Have you tried to take ownership of the file and delete it in Safe Mode or with the Command Line

Go to nero's web site and get their clean tool. It will uninstall all
remnants of Nero.

John,

I downloaded and installed "Unlocker". There is supposed to be "Unlocker" on
the context menu when right-clicking on a pesky file. But it wasn't
displayed on this particular file. However, I clicked on "delete", which in
the past had resulted in an error, but this time it was able to be deleted.
Whether or not "Unlocker" made this possible or not I can't say. But the
important thing is that it is now gone.... Yippee!!

THANKS!!

Sorry but I would not touch even the site with a very long pole. It look a
very dodgy one to me?
