After installing a new USB port that requires SP2 to
function, I attempting to download SP2 and install. No
luck -- it says I have an invalid Windows Product Key.
Then I remembered that this is the same reason I couldn't
download SP1 a while back either. How is this possible?
I've downloaded many other updates, and never had a
problem like this before. Is there some way to prove that
my key is valid?

I also am having the same problem. I have Windows XP pro,
which was on the computer when I bought it from a friend,
and have had no problems before trying to get WU to work.
I have successfully downloaded updates before, and now i
get the " your product registration key is invalid "
error. I woul;d alos like to know the fix to this.

Abby;
If the license you have is one of the known invalid licenses, this is
appropriate.
Do you have the original Certificate of Authenticity and original
Windows XP CD?
