can't do update

My XP home update isn't working either. My knowledge is limited and when
something doesn't work I am stumped.

Are you able to provide a little bit more information, like are you receiving error
codes? Can you get to the Windows Update site?
Please provide as much information as possible so someone can help. Just describe in
your own words what is happening when you try Windows Update.

I've got the same problem as this dude...
The update page loads up to the point "checking for the latest version of
the windows update software..." then doesn't move
There no error screen or anything....jus doesn't move.
It says "Done" on the bottom left corner, suggesting it has finished
loading....but there no option to choose the updates.
