Can't dowload drivers for new device

Hi,

When I plug new device on a friend's computer, Vista don't get the new
drivers. Then it suggests me to insert a CD.

I'm surprised since I can get these drivers when I plug the same USB
devices on a other Vista computer.

I don't have any error messages, even in the event viewer.

Norton is installed on this computer but deactivate it don't change
anything. The PC is connected to the internet with a firewall/modem/
router (freebox).

Any advice ?

If Norton is not installed on the system that the USB device functions
on, then quite obviously it's the cause of ' Vista don't get the new
drivers '.
Consult the Help file or visit Symantec's site to learn how to resolve
this issue since it's not one cause by Microsoft.
Or, you can go to the device's manufacturer's web site and download the
drivers for it. When Vista asks for the CD, point it to the location of
the downloaded drivers.
