Can't download and install SP 2

I have been trying to download and instal Win XP SP 2 but any time I try,
after accepting licence and give me a message that Service pack 2 has not
been installed.

How do you install it (from Windows Update, the SP2 CD or have
you downloaded the 266 MB SP2 file)?

Some log files you can check for any clues or error messages:

%windir%\Svcpack.log
%windir%\setupapi.log

(%windir% is typically C:\Windows)

You could also post the last 20-30 lines from the log files
here (those logs that indicates an error).
