Can't download .NET 1.x Error 80246002

I have windows XP home Edition with Service pack 2. I tried to get some
non-critical updates and everything seemed correctly, but when I tried to
download .NET 1.1 (latest, not sure of the number) The installatiofailed and
gave me this error: 80246002

Oh, I have an ATI videocard
