I've downloaded music on my WMP 10 and it tells me I need a (DRM) security
upgrade. After I click okay, it comes back with "A problem occurred while
downloading this upgrade. Please try again later." This has been happening
for 3 days now. What can I do?

Go to http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/...it.asp?force=1
and download the latest drm components. It solved my problem--regards--sam

Sam,
This site is the same that is accessed by WMP during a security upgrade and
(for me at least) returns the same error (A problem occurred during the
security upgrade).

Where's the fix for this highly annoying DRM issue??

The site was given to me by the Microsoft Contact Us people--perhaps you can
write to them also at . I am sorry it didn't work for
you--perhaps they can suggest something else--regards--sam

Try this:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=891664
It might, however just point to the same site. Make sure you are using
IExplorer this once. My Firefox would not run the scripts on the page to
download the update (the Continue button did nothing....)

I've tried all of that stuff and it still does not work. Any other ideas?

This is my first attempt at music download.... got errors 800C2EFF and
COOD1197. I have tried to obtain the "Security Upgrade" but an error says
'Unable to connect with server/might be a network problem'. I have tried all
other suggestions offered by the music supplier but, like Tom, it still does
not work.
We managed to put a man on the moon, but...........................

Noticed "protected Mode:On" in the lower portion of the IE window. (im on
Vista x64) I disabled the protected mode and refreshed the update site and I
can now install the update. Basically.. the "Enhanced" security may be
blocking the update.. just a thought .. worked for me at least.

I have exactly the same problem - tried all of the above - nothing worked.
Heatherj05 - have you managed to find a solution yet?
