Randy,
There are a couple of ways to resolve this. Posting what you've tried
would make it easier to suggest as method.
Have you tried using the Internet Explorer Repair tool ?

Do this in Safe Mode to prevent another program running in the background.
Another way would be to go to Windows Update and write down the critical
updates offered, and then go here and manually download them :
