Struggling to use this new OS, annoying at best.

Is it just me that can't drag/drop a text file from Windows Explorer to
a new empty notepad window?

Thanks in advance,

Terry

Looks like it's just you - works fine here. What happens if you
double-click the same text file?

I just turned of UAC and rebooted. This (and other things) started
working fine. Does that make sense?

Thanks, Terry

maybe yes, maybe not, it depends a bit on what you were doing...

you CAN drag & drop between explorer and notepad, while both of those are
running as the same user

you CANNOT drag & drop between explorer and notepad, if they are running as
different user, e.g. a limited user explorer & elevated notepad

this is for me anyways

Not really, no. I can't reproduce that kind of behaviour here, sorry. Try
turning it on and rebooting again - does the problem persist?
