Can't dual boot vista on primary partion and XP on logical partion

Please someone advise me how I can make my laptop Compaq 6715b to dual
boot . loaded vista on primary partion, its on c: then I partioned the
drive and created a logical partion installed xp, it allocated drive
f:, now I cannot boot in vista, I can see Vista is there on c:. any
suggestions.....

You'll get better results if you boot from the respective CD/DVD media
and install from there, but just remmber to put each into their own
partitition.

Load the older OS first (in this case XP) and then the new one. The
installation of Vista will take care of all the housekeping required to
dual boot correctly.
