I just bought my first Vista computer. In windows explorer (not internet
explorer), I am trying to find where the "refresh" button is. Is this button
available in vista or just xp?
thanks

In the Menu Bar, click on View and go to the bottom of the list where Refresh
is.

I know about that method, but can't you add a button to the menu bar like you
could in xp? It seems that would be easier than having to click on View then
go down to Refresh.

ok, I don't want to press the F5 key either. I want to have a button to
press so I can refresh the screen. How can I do that in Windows Vista?

To the right of the address bar, you've got 2 buttons, the first one
opens a drop down of recently visited folders, and the second one is the
refresh button you are looking for.

It's not on the "menu bar"

At the top of the window you have the Address bar where you can type/see the
location or directory that you are browsing.

To the left of this address bar is a "Forward" and "Back" button, just like
Internet Explorer.

To the right of this address bar, you have the pull-down arrow
and the Refresh button, just like Internet Explorer.

To the right of the Refresh button is the "Search" box.

redrunner,
what am I supposed to do with the search box? That's not what I'm looking
for.
