When I go to Windows Update, it pops up a handly little message saying
Error 0x8DDD0004 and giving me a stop sign.
Oh boy -- more fun trying to get fixes from M$ after M$ has gone and
improved things.
I see a message that I'm supposed to "register" (whatever the heck
that means) some dll's. Simply use the Run line ---
Problem is, my Run line in the Start thingy disappeared a long time
ago. I'd sure like to know how to get it back. I asked, and somebody
gave me a high-tech explanation for the cause (but no cure), and told
me to search for a cure by reading some knowledge bases (which put me
to sleep quicker than count sheep). So I gave up.
Now, can somebody tell me how to restore the RUN command on the Start
thingy in XP Home SP1?
Then what to do to get past the red stop sign when I go to windows
update?
Thanks!
