Can't get Activesync to recognize my device

I have been running 3.8 since it was released without any problems.
Recently I had to unplug my cradle for my Audiovox 6600 and when I plugged
the cradle back into the USB port I think I put it into the wrong port. The
device manager saw the new device and installed it.

However, Activesync does not recognize it. I have tried deleting the
partnership. Uninstalling and reinstalling Activesync but no luck. I have
tried putting the USB plug into the other possible slots to see if I got
lucky but no deal. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.

TIA

John

Hi John,

Do the following --

1. Click Start, then click Run. Type the following:

devmgmt.msc

Click Ok. This should open up the device manager.
2. Connect your Pocket PC
3. Right-click and uninstall the entry for the PPC.
4. Reboot computer and the device should be recognized correctly.

Hi,
Do you have a software firewall installed? If you do then disable it and
then try connecting your Smartphone.

Hi John,

Repeat the steps explained earlier and ensure you connect the device to the
same USB port that you were using all this time. Before connecting perform
a soft reset.
