Can't get *any* updates working

It seems that any sort of update to windows simply will not work on here, be
it manual or automatic

I try to connect to teh microsof website to have updates through the windows
update site. eevery downlaod fails. Sometimes (KB867282) downlaods, but it
never ever installs

I get Error Code: 80070002


I tried clearing out the datastore and downlaod folders.. nothing
I tried everything here
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822798

Nothing

I tried to manualy downlaod these files and install. All I get is "The
System cannot find the File Specified" And the install quits

Also, what's the log that everyone shows? I'll post it, but I have no idea
what file it is

How to view the update log in Windows -



Open Internet Explorer and either type or copy and then paste this into the Address
bar:
for V5 - %windir%\windowsupdate.log

for V4 - %windir%\windows update.log


Scroll down towards the bottom for the latest entries to locate the error code(s)
associated with the latest failed attempt to download.
