I have Windows XP professional version 5.1

I have four updates that keep popping us as needing to be installed. I have
"installed" them about 5 times now but they keep showing up again.

Here is the list:
KB974417
KB979909
KB982524
KB982168

Thanks
Lori

My operating system is Microsoft XP Professional Service Pack 3.

I am having a very similar problem, except that this update will not install:

KB979906

When the update process is finished, a box appears stating that the above
update failed to install. When I attempt to re-install it, the above update
appears in "high priority updates" along with these updates (even though they
supposedly installed successfully):

KB982524
KB979909
KB982168

I have also re-installed these several times and the same thing keeps
happening.

It would be very helpful if Microsoft could issue "fixes" to these glitches
that are simple and easy to follow.

Thank you for your help.

Have the same issue, but they just return the message "not installed" with no
reason given, then they appear again in the list...very frustrating.
