Cant get a list of available updates (Win 2000)

Hi,
when I access the WU site and then click on "check for updates" link it does
that and in the menu on the left it says that there are two windows 2000
updates and one driver update.. the problem is when I click on either of this
two menu items (Windows 2000 or Driver Updates), nothing happens... IE shows
its progress bar in status bar but after some time, I get the "Action
Cancelled" page in the right frame... does anyone have an idea whats the
problem?
