can't get rid of picture and document files

I have Vista. I deleted several files. I did a 'search' of my recycle bin and
all sorts of stuff came up, even tho I deleted it all previously. Can I get
rid of all this mess? Thanks

Open the recycle bin and choose to empty it.

The search function uses an index. After deleting some files, their entries
may remain in the index until it gets rebuilt. Just wait a while, and the
entries should go away.
If you wish, you can force the index to be rebuilt.
Start - Control Panel - Indexing Options - Advanced - Rebuild

Another good reason to abandon indexing and the Vista search function.
