I have been trying since late december to get 3 non-crtical updates however 1
is very important to me and my home bussiness since we have 2 computers in
our house and I have help from my parents to run the bussiness. the updates
are as follows:
Microsoft Corporation - Video - NVIDIA GeForce2 MX
Update for Windows Media Connect
AboCom Systems, Inc. - Networking - 802.11g Wireless PCI Card

The Wireless PCI Card(wireless router) is very critical. If any one knows
how to solve this, the help is greatly apprciated. I am runing windows XP
Home Edition With SP2 and all critical updates have been installed by other
methods. This is a brand new computer. It dose not give me an error code so I
can not tell u what it is. Like I said the wireless PCI Card is very crucial
for day to day operations, the integrity of the signal is poor and i keep
getting kicked off and I am well with in the distance requirements of the
router and PCI Card. The Texas Instruments(softwear) and AirLink+(maker of
said PCI Card) there websites have been of no help with obtaining updates.
AirLink+ also is really no help when calling tech support cuz the only number
is long distance(i live in in ontario canada and they are in california) and
they don't know how to help me get the updates. If any one can offer help it
is greatly appreciated.

Get drivers directly from the manufacturers web site and not from Microsoft.

If the driver comes up as a Critical Update, there is normally a good reason
and you should consider getting the driver at that time from the
manufacturer.
If the driver is not critical and everything is working fine, do not install
the newer driver

Download the updates from the Windows Update Catalog, #1 on this link:
http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/wufix.htm

Reboot the computer
Disable all unnecessary programs including anti virus.
Install the update by double-clicking the download.
Follow prompts to install.
Reboot.
Repeat above for second and third update.
