Can't Get/View Updates

When I try to get my Windows XP Pro Updates through the webpage. Start> All
Programs> Windows Update. I get to the Page for choosing Express
(recommended) or custom. I click on express, it just says:

The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are
trying to view. The options provided below might help you solve the problem.

And then says:
For self-help options:
Frequently Asked Questions
Find Solutions
Windows Update Newsgroup

Yes i have downloaded and installed the windows downloader, before you can
get updates, and have activated my windows key.

2. You cannot install some updates or programs

3a. Check Windowsupdate.log (%windir%\Windowsupdate.log) for errors
associated with the download/install.

3b. Compare errors to those listed here:

http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com > click on Help and Support link in left
pane > Solve problems on your own.
