My son is in Iraq and we have tried to set up video conversations but we
can't get our audio to work. The video is ok on both sides but the audio
doesn't work on either side. He is running Vista and I have XP SP2 with all
udpates.

Hey Budley,

My friend and I had the same problems and tried all the fixes. We ended up
using show your webcam along with call computer. I have xp and my friend is
on Vista (his audio simply would not work with a video conversation). There
is a new beta version out that may address the sound issue but we have not
tried that as of yet. Good luck to you and God speed to your son in Iraq, may
he come home soon and safely.

Hello,

If you're not able to solve your issue, try using Skype. It is free and
supports video.

Thanks for the help. I have set up Skype and it appears to work fine.
Waiting for my son to come back from the field so that he can install Skype.

My bud and I installed the new beta, it does indeed support the mic and sound
issues! Video conversation worked perfectly. The video is by far the best on
msn, but indeed skype is good.
