I had this folder on my old computer (running Vista) and I was able to hide
it so I didn't have to see it. Now tonight the folder popped up after I did
a mail merge and it won't let me hide it. I don't want to see it. The hide
box is grayed out. Please help as I find it very annoying to have folders
that I don't using showing in My Documents.

Try this

- Open Documents (or the parent folder containing "My Data Sources
- Hold down the <SHIFT> key, then right-click on an empty area no
containing any icon
- Select the "Open Command Window Here" item, and left-clic
- Type *ATTRIB +h -s "My Data Sources"*, and press <ENTER>
- If no errors are reported, then it is hidden. If it still won'
allow the hidden attribute to change, then likely a program is usin
it and has exclusive access. In this case, reboot the computer an
repeat from step 1 before doing anything else
- Type *Exit* and press <ENTER> to close the Command Prompt window. If the above fails, then try to backup and delete the "My Data Sources
folder as Mick Murphy suggested
