Can't install 2 optional updates.

I can't install 2 optional updates for Windows Vista. What happened was, I
was installing 4 optional updates, but it froze after the second one, so I
manually turned off the computer and the updates are still there to install,
but now I can't install them? Were they installed?

If, as you've posted, ' the updates are still there to install ', go
here, input their titles or KB numbers into the Search field, then
download, and SAVE them:
http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Home.aspx

Close the browser and any other open programs.
Now install them.
