Can't Install BITS 2.0 or WinHTTP

whenever i try to do Windows Updates it says i have to install BITS 2.0 and
WinHTTP 5.1. When the installation thing pops up it intializes it and then
attempts to install it and fails. Another question is about Windows Service
Pack 2. Will it reinstall Windows Installer?

Hi

I am able to down the application However I am not able to install it. Every
time it gives the following error
Data Error : cycle redundancy check

I have tried lot of down load but it doesnt work

Whats else is that everytime I log on to the net, windows update asks me to
download BITS 2.0 or WinHTTP, which I cant. also I am not able to downlaod
any other updates if there are any

I am getting the same results. I am unable to install any windows updates at
this time. They all give me the same error message.
Any suggestions "Craig"?
